Persuasion its role in Humanian

Post by BENJA »

Hello Bill
What role does persuasion play a role in your theory I know Aristotle has 3 types and do you agree with him on them. How do we persuade people to do the right thing or come to accept beliefs?

There are basically three types of persuasion: ethos, logos, and pathos, according to Aristotle

Benja, I hope the readers of the website are persuaded by the clarity of what is presented, and by its logical consistency with fairly fundamental beliefs that most people have. There is no effort to impress the reader with my credentials or to play on the emotions of the readers.

It is my hope that my efforts will lead to increased depth of thought, mine and others. I hope to find any problems in my way of understanding things, so that I can change appropriately, and I hope this will happen with others also.

A Humanian is by definition one who is committed to living in rational consistency with the HUEP.
