Restore, maintain and protect the environments and natural habitats for all wild animals, so that they will always be able to maintain genetically viable numbers of their species.
Although initially I thought I agreed, upon some reflection I wondered if your proposed ethical principle should be modified, though I am not yet sure how. What about tape worms?
